Hello parents and students.  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Just a reminder that this Friday will be a Pro-D day.

In class today we covered the following:

First Nations 12
-Vocabulary Hunt
-Discussed First Nations worldview vs European worldview and the challenges of first contact
-Worked on chapter 4 note taking

Homework: continue to work on your notes for chapter 4

English 11
-Discussed expository essay writing- Introduction which includes and thesis statement, 2-3 body paragraphs and a conclusion that rewords the thesis statement.
-We discussed the PEEC format
-We planned and wrote a multi-paragraph answering the following question.
"Explain how First Nations have passed on knowledge, traditions and culture over time. Support your answer using specific examples."

Homework: complete your rough draft of your multi-paragraph.


Social Studies 10
-students were provided more time to complete their timeline assignment (hand in tomorrow)
-worked on confederation question sheet(due tomorrow at the start of class) this was a follow up from the timeline assignment

Homework: 1. study for your chapter 1 quiz tomorrow
2. complete your timeline assignment and confederation questions from today.
