Happy Friday everyone!  Today is the last day to donate for Movemeber.  So far I have raised a total of $60 for cancer research and I will be loosing my mustache tomorrow:(

-Prepared for our paragraph question for our Chapter 6 quiz this Friday

-you are allowed to bring in a skeleton copy of your written paragraph

Homework: start preparing for your quiz

Social Studies 10
-reviewed the NWMP and the 7 treaties of Canada
- continued to work on Louis Riel and his return (cause and effect sheet due this Friday)

-editing conference

Homework: make sure that all your text is ready to print and that you are up to date on your CIDN reading

Social Studies 10
- reviewed Riel, death of Thomas Scott and the Manitoba Act
-discussed North West Mounted Police and the signing of treaties
-started The Return of Riel- cause and effect sheet (this will me handed in for marking)

We visited a job fair conference that was being held in our classroom

-reviewed the merger of the HBC/NWC
-discussed what was happening in the Red River settlement after Selkirk left and passed on
-discussed the problems of the RRS in the 1860's and Along Came John A Macdonald.

FN12- finished out documentary on military occupation and compared it to BC First Nation Colonial Policies in the 19th century.

English 11- we had a whole block of worktime to get caught up on assignments that are overdue.  Please have the following completed and hand in for marking by tomorrow:
